About Us

Hi, we're Neil and Tanya, and together we enjoy long distance walking. In 2014 we plan to walk the length of the British Isles, from Mizen Head in the south of Ireland to Malin Head in the north, then the length of Great Britain from John O'Groats in the north to Land's End in the south, a total of about 1600 miles, in aid of ShelterBox

On our way!

At long last, we're on our way! Left Liverpool on the train yesterday, bumpy crossing from Holyhead to Dublin, then train journey down to Cork. Blue sky and sunshine, green fields, occasional old ruins, distant hills - lovely. Good night out in Cork last night sampling the black stuff - totally failed to spot the difference between Murphy's and Beamish, more investigation required I think!

3rd picture shows Neil scoffing the Happy Hiking cake given to us by Patrick on Friday - sadly the lettering didn't survive the journey but it still tasted good.

  2. That cake looks good enough to eat. Greetings and good luck from your mother at Storms River in South Africa.

  3. Glad you both managed to get away as scheduled. As with the South Downs Way last year, it looks like you've conjured up some great weather - hope it lasts! I'll be enviously following your progress.... xx
