You can't beat a good last minute panic before starting a hike - before the Pacific Crest Trail it was my back problems and Neil's foot problems that had us worried. This time - no tenants to look after the house and cats. And only two weeks to go!
We're both finishing work a week on Wednesday, and our ferry and train tickets are booked to get us to our start point in Co Cork a week on Saturday. Our good friends George and Annette, Ian and Liz and Barney have all offered to help look after the cats, but if you know of anyone looking for a place to live in Kendal for 4 months - please get in touch!
